Essential nutrients
In almond tree cultivation, there are four elements that are essential for high yields:
Sulphur
Low sulphur levels in the soil limit chlorophyll synthesis, hence reducing the tree’s productive yield.
Zinc
A lack of zinc reduces the crop’s productive potential, thus leading to poor flowering and deficient fruit set.
Boron
An essential mineral to ensure a high level of fruit set. It must be present before emergence from winter dormancy.
Calcium
A crucial element for obtaining seed yields. This is a mineral that is not valued enough in specific literature.
